√2023 Jaguar F-Pace updated with Amazon Alexa tech, new 400 Sport variant

The Jaguar F-Pace luxury SUV will gain a new 400 Sport variant and Amazon Alexa voice assistant support for 2023. Local details will be announced by June 2022.

The 2023 Jaguar F-Pace range will be revised for the next Model Year, with Amazon Alexa voice assistant technology and a new 400 Sport model.

Following the 300 Sport variant of the smaller E-Pace released in 2021, the new F-Pace 400 Sport adds a range of blacked-out or sporty touches to Jaguar’s mid-size SUV, powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine as standard.

Positioned above the current HSE range-topper (SVR excluded), the 400 Sport adds 21-inch gloss black ‘Style 5105’ alloy wheels, black roof rails, and the Black Pack, which includes gloss black finishes for the intakes, door finishers, window surrounds, badging and lower bumpers.

Inside, it gains Windsor leather ‘performance’ bucket seats for front occupants, black suede headlining, Satin Charcoal Ash inlays, and typically-optional 30-colour ambient lighting. 10 colours are available, including Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey premium metallics.

Powering the 400 Sport is the F-Pace range’s available 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine, sending 294kW (or 400 metric horsepower, thus the edition’s name) and 550Nm to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

With the help of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an electric supercharger, the 400 Sport can complete the 0-100km/h sprint in a claimed 5.4 seconds, towards a top speed of 250km/h.

The 400 Sport will be joined in the non-SVR 2023 F-Pace range by R-Dynamic S, SE and HSE grades, powered by 184kW 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder ‘P250’ and 221kW 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline-six ‘D300’ engines.

Along with the addition of the 400 Sport, the Model Year 2023 F-Pace gains Amazon Alexa support across the range, allowing occupants to control in-car navigation and music functions through their voice, or compatible smart home devices.

While the system is new for the F-Pace for 2023, it will also be available to owners of existing F-Pace models with Pivi Pro infotainment systems, via an over-the-air update – said to number 55,000 cars worldwide.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard with the system.

Australian pricing and availability for the 2023 Jaguar F-Pace range will be announced “before June 2022”, according to the brand’s local division. Stay tuned to Drive for all the latest.
