√Ferrari designer reveals electric scooter

Pininfarina’s ‘last mile’ solution is now on sale.

Ferrari’s long-term design partner Pininfarina has pulled the covers off a new electric scooter – dubbed the KPF Argento.

Developed in partnership with ‘e-mobility specialist’ Platum, the aluminium two-wheeler measures 83.5cm from nose to tail and rides on 20cm tyres.

A single electric motor in the rear hub permits a top speed of 24km/h, while a lithium-ion battery limits range to 40km.

A digital display on the handlebars includes a speedometer, battery level readings, and a headlight toggle.

The KPF Argento by Pininfarina scooter is now on sale in Italy from €599 ($AU$900).

Drive has reached out to the manufacturer to find out if it plans to offer the product in Australia, and this story will be updated when more information becomes available.

Pininfarina is best known for its work on cars, notably from Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Peugeot, Bentley, Lancia, BMW, and Maserati.

A spin-off company called Automobili Pininfarina is currently developing an electric hypercar known as the Battista, and underpinned by the Rimac Nevara platform.
