√These luxury and prestige cars are now on the ocean floor

While the Felicity Ace’s crew were evacuated before it sank in February, the same cannot be said for its impressive automotive cargo.

Earlier this year a ship sank off the coast of Portugal carrying thousands of cars, following a days-long fire on deck.

The Felicity Ace’s 20-strong crew was unharmed, however none of its automotive cargo could be saved from a fiery then watery demise.

Approximately 2500 luxury and prestige vehicles were in transit from Germany to North America – and, thanks to a new list compiled by Top Gear Netherlands, we now know what they were.

The majority were built by the Volkswagen Group, however several Land Rover, BMW, Ford, Honda, Kia, Mini, and Nissan models were also onboard – believed to be privately-owned vehicles being transported between continents.

While some media outlets previously claimed a Porsche Taycan electric car may have been responsible for igniting the blaze, Top Gear suggests the boat was not carrying an example.

Several Audi E-Tron electric SUVs were mid-shipping however, as were 159 Volkswagen ID.4s.

Further, 12 Fendt commercial tractors – each likely worth at least $200,000 – were destroyed in the catastrophe.
