I bought this car when I retired so we could go touring.

We needed something that drove well and had enough space for luggage as well as good comfort for long trips.

The Subaru Liberty ticks all these boxes!

The only problem, we couldn’t drive anywhere for months because of Covid.

So far though, there is not much to dislike. Performance is good but it would be nice if it had a turbocharger.

On longer trips, I find the adaptive cruise control is generally great. The system got a bit confused when a plastic bag blew in front of the car.

I’ve had one warranty issue that was satisfactorily resolved by Subaru with no drama.
