Dashcam footage shows a garbage truck colliding with an iconic muscle car

Footage released by Dash Cam Owners Australia reveals a council garbage truck attempting to shuffle its way through a narrow street, with cars parked on either side. The end result sees the truck driver crush the right side of the 2002 Holden Monaro CV8. Check out the full video here.


Bank Australia announces plans to end loans for new ICE vehicles

Bank Australia will no longer give out loans for new petrol and diesel vehicles from 2025. The decision means customers will be limited to electric and hydrogen vehicles, with conventional hybrid and plug-in hybrid models to be ineligible. Read all the details here.


Queensland to introduce hidden speed cameras in school zones

There’s a new kind of speed camera being introduced to Queensland’s roads, targeting motorists near work sites and school zones. Fuel mix-up closes service station for several days

A service station in Melbourne’s east was forced to shut for close to two days, after a fuel delivery truck driver accidentally filled an underground diesel tank with up to 40,000 litres of unleaded petrol.

Auto executive crashes electric hypercar prototype

A prototype of the Rimac Nevera electric hypercar was damaged after the Chief Technical Officer of a global car company engaged ‘Drift Mode’.

The multi-million dollar all-electric sports car quotes impressive performance numbers, with 0-100km/h coming in a claimed two seconds. The executive – who hasn’t been named – was reportedly overly confident with his ability, switching over to drift mode on his first lap behind the wheel.
