Expensive supercar clocked at double the speed limit
A Lamborghini crashed on a major arterial road in NSW earlier this week, following a police pursuit.
The driver of the Lamborghini Huracan was clocked “in excess of 150km/h in a posted 70km/h zone”, which led the police to pursue the vehicle. Read the full story here.
Toyota dealers already accepting deposits in Australia for unconfirmed new ute
The Toyota Tundra is still in development for Australia – and yet to be confirmed – but this hasn’t stopped dealers taking deposits and registering expressions of interest.

Speed cameras banned from hiding in NSW
Public backlash and record fines have led to the New South Wales Government to reverse its decision on making mobile speed cameras less visible.
Two years ago the decision was made to remove portable warning signs and reflective markings on mobile speed camera cars, which saw fines more than double over two years – and a record numbers of drivers lose their licence. Read the story here.
Week-long operation catches serial hoons in Melbourne
A police blitz in the northwest suburbs of Melbourne has led to the arrest of several serial hoons.
Victoria Police issued more than 100 defect notices, impounding almost 30 vehicles, and arresting 17 people. Read the full story here.
Specially-modified Ford F-150 expedition vehicle retrieved from the Arctic
After five months under water, a specially-modified Ford F-150 has been recovered from the Arctic Ocean. The US pick-up slipped through ice melt earlier this year on an expedition from the North to the South Pole. See the story here.
