Peugeot’s first electric vehicle for Australia has been priced – the 2023 Peugeot e-Partner – ahead of its Australian showroom arrival in the middle of 2023.

The electric version of the city-sized Partner delivery van will launch in Pro long-wheelbase specification, priced from $59,990 plus on-road costs – 56 per cent, or about $21,000 more than the petrol version ($38,388 plus on-roads).

Pre-orders are open now, with Peugeot dealers advising prospective customers of first deliveries shortly after the middle of this year.

Powering the e-Partner is a 50kWh battery pack and 100kW/260Nm electric motor, good for 245km of claimed driving range (down on the 275km claimed overseas), and a zero to 80 per cent fast charge in about 30 minutes on a 100kW socket.

Launching in long-wheelbase form, the e-Partner claims 3.9 cubic metres of load volume, a 4.75-metre body length, and dual side-hinged ‘barn doors’. Payload is rated at 834kg, and unbraked towing capacity at 740kg.

Standard equipment mirrors the petrol Partner Pro, with two seats, cloth upholstery, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, autonomous emergency braking, rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.

There is also lane-keep assist and speed sign recognition. Peugeot says more details are due closer to launch.

Ice White paint is standard, while Nera Black, Artense Grey and Platinum Grey metallic shades cost $690 extra. The e-Partner is covered by a five-year/200,000km vehicle or eight-year/160,000km battery warranty.
