- 2023 Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition pricing and specifications
- Limited to 86 examples, first priority given to existing Toyota GR owners
- $1310 increase compared to GTS variants
- Priced from $46,700 plus on-road costs
The 2023 Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition has officially gone on sale in Australia, with the first examples of the limited-run sports car due to arrive in showrooms this month.
Announced in September 2022, the GR86 10th Anniversary Edition celebrates a decade since the Toyota 86 launched in Australia in 2012 – though production delays pushed back first deliveries from late 2022 to March 2023.
Priced from $46,700 plus on-road costs and limited to 86 examples, the Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition adds unique orange paint, plus orange and black interior trim to the GR86 GTS – accompanied by a $1310 price increase compared to the existing flagship GT86 GTS.
As previously reported, an undisclosed number of the limited-edition GR86s were reserved for members of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Club – who already own Toyota GR cars – with the closed-door allocation selling out last month.
Toyota has previously said it received “triple digit” expressions of interest for the GR86 10th Anniversary Edition from its GR Club members, keeping those who missed out on a vehicle through the early-access program on a list in case any buyers do not choose to continue with their order.
The Toyota GR86 10th Anniversary Edition is mechanically identical to the GR86 GTS variant, powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine, which sends 174kW and 250Nm to the rear wheels.
Buyers have the choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, with identical prices for both gearboxes – even though the related Subaru BRZ charges $3800 less for the manual, and the auto adds a number of key advanced safety features not offered with the manual.
As reported last year, Australia has been allocated 1100 examples of the Toyota GR86 for the first year, approximately 200 of which have been delivered between September 2022 and February 2023.
