√Tesla opens 30 Superchargers to rival electric cars in Australia
Almost half of Tesla’s Supercharger network in Australia can now recharge electric vehicles from rival car brands, with its pilot program now extended to nearly every mainland jurisdiction.
US electric-car giant Tesla has expanded the number of ‘Superchargers’ which can recharge electric vehicles from other manufacturers in Australia, with 30 sites now live across the country.
In January 2023, Tesla announced five of its approximately 50 Supercharger locations in Australia would support all electric cars equipped with a CCS fast-charging socket – which applies to almost every new battery-powered vehicle on sale locally, excluding the Nissan Leaf.

Tesla has now added a further 25 Supercharger locations locally to the list, bringing its total to 30 of the 63 in Australia – with every jurisdiction except Tasmania and the Northern Territory now benefitting from the expansion.
There are two versions of Tesla Superchargers available in Australia – the V2 (capable of delivering up to 120kW) and V3 (up to 250kW).
Using the Superchargers costs 79 cents per kilowatt-hour for drivers of non-Tesla cars, however the cost is reduced to 66 cents per kilowatt-hour for non-Tesla drivers who pay a $9.99/month subscription.
Tesla vehicles are charged 58 to 70 cents per kilowatt-hour to use the Superchargers, depending on the location.
An online map showing the 30 Tesla Supercharger locations available to all electric cars is available here, while the suburbs and state in which they are located are listed below.
