The MG 5 isn’t the perfect car, but you get a large car for the class with a 1.5-litre turbo engine that provides enough power to pass a B-double and a ride with very comfortable seats.
Truly, this car drives along like a tourer and the petrol consumption is around 6L/100km, which is impressive for an engine that’s not run in yet.
It does miss some electronic safety items like lane assist et cetera, but you usually turn these off due to the annoying alarms. You instead rely on good driving habits.
At $28,990 drive-away, you get a value-packed vehicle. I drove this car to Canberra and back and was very impressed. You also have the seven-year warranty for peace-of-mind driving.
