√Ford Ranger goes retro with Bronco face in Thailand

After converting Ford Rangers to look like the larger F-150 pick-up, this Thai firm has turned the dual-cab ute retro with the face from a Bronco – at least digitally.

A Thailand workshop with an obsession for the locally-made Ford Ranger has unveiled what the popular ute could look like with the face from the Bronco SUV – but with a catch.

In a post uploaded to social media platform Facebook, Bangkok-based TTN Hypersport shared photos of its Bronco-fronted Ranger, giving the Ford ute a retro appearance.

The Ranger and Bronco are related under the skin and share similar engines, though the retro-styled SUV is not produced in right-hand drive – so far ruling it out from Australian showrooms.

While it is believed to be possible to put the face of a Bronco on the body of a Ranger – albeit with a bit of effort – the images are digital illustrations.

A tip-off that these images are digitally altered is the Ranger’s tailgate, which has been mirrored after the ‘RAN’ letters to spell ‘RANИAЯ’.

Despite being a computer-generated dream, TTN Hypersport claims it is working on producing the Bronco-nosed Ford Ranger in real life, which would join its range of wild appearance packages.

In June 2020, the Thai firm unveiled a line-up of previous-generation Rangers which had been extensively modified to appear as the larger F-150 pick-up, complete with significantly larger wheels and lifted suspension.
