√2024 Porsche 718 Style Edition revealed, priced for Australia
The Porsche Boxster and Cayman are due to receive the Style Edition treatment.
The 2024 Porsche 718 Style Edition range has been revealed in Boxster convertible and Cayman coupe forms, ahead of Australian deliveries in the second half of next year.
Priced from $125,800 before on-road costs, the Style Editions add new exterior and interior detailing and additional standard features for $3800 premiums over the entry-level 718 Boxster and Cayman variants on which they are based.
They are distinguished by 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels with coloured Porsche crest centre caps, black tailpipes, high-gloss silver Porsche badging, and on the Boxster, the ‘Boxster’ name embossed into the soft-top above the side windows.
There is a choice of black or white ‘contrast packages’ (at no extra cost), which include black or white wheels and rear badging, plus a front ‘bonnet’ stripe and ‘PORSCHE’ side door decals in the colour of choice.
The palette of available exterior colours includes Ruby Star Neo, a modern version of the Ruby Star pink hue from the 1990s Porsche 911 Carrera RS (964 generation).
Inside, the Style Editions add illuminated stainless-steel door sill plates, Porsche crests on the headrests, and a black leather upholstery package (and floor mats) with ‘Crayon’ light grey contrast stitching.
Standard features in Europe include bi-xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, Apple CarPlay, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, a heated leather steering wheel, heated seats, and dual-zone auto climate control.
Australian models include these features, as well as adaptive headlight functionality, a tyre repair kit, blind-spot monitoring, keyless entry and start, an alarm system, larger 64-litre fuel tank, 14-way power sports seats with memory, the Light Design Package, satellite navigation and digital radio.
However, all of these Style Edition features – European and Australian – are already standard on the regular 718 Boxster and Cayman models locally.
Powering the Style Editions is the standard 718’s 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-four petrol engine with 220kW and 380Nm, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission as standard, or seven-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic as an option.
Zero to 100km/h acceleration times are claimed to sit at 5.1 seconds for the manual, or 4.9 seconds for the PDK, with both cars capable of a 275km/h top speed on a race track.
The 2024 Porsche 718 Style Edition models are due in Australia in the second half of next year (presumably as Model Year 2024 vehicles).
