√2023 Volvo C40: All the facts
Buying an electric car introduces a whole new world of facts and figures to learn about and compare. To help, we’ve created this handy data card to give you all the crucial pieces of the EV puzzle.
Volvo has been playing in the electric car space for a while now, but the 2023 Volvo C40 Recharge represents an important first for the brand – its first electric-only car.
While the C40 shares underpinnings with the XC40 SUV, unlike the XC40 and its choice of petrol or electric powertrains, the C40 is offered only in the latter.
With an eye-catching silhouette and all-vegan interior, the C40 crossover serves as the coupe-styled sibling to Volvo’s popular XC40 Recharge small SUV.
Two variants are available – a single-motor, front-wheel-drive variant with a 69kWh battery and up to 434km of range, or a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant with a larger 78kWh battery but a slightly shorter 420km driving range.
The dual-motor set-up in the latter variant can propel the car to 100km/h from a standstill in 4.7 seconds and achieve impressive peak outputs of 300kW and 660Nm.
