√Mahindra rolls-out new logo in Australia ahead of new SUV arrivals
Mahindra is making a return to Australia’s SUV market, with two models due to arrive this year wearing the brand’s new logo.
Indian car maker Mahindra has revealed the new logo which will be fitted to two upcoming models due in Australia by the end of this year.
Mahindra – the car division of the world’s largest tractor manufacturer – has exclusively selling its ageing ‘Pik-Up’ ute range in Australia after its sole SUV, the XUV500, disappeared from showrooms in 2021.
The company is preparing to launch two new SUVs – the Scorpio-N four-wheel-drive and Toyota RAV4-sized XUV700 family SUV – in the coming months, which it has confirmed will debut a new ‘Twin Peaks’ logo in Australia.
First revealed on the Mahindra XUV700 in India two years ago (and presumably unrelated to the 1990s drama TV series of the same name) the ‘Twin Peaks’ logo is claimed to incorporate the ‘M’ of the car-maker’s name.
While the new logo will be used on the front, rear and interiors of the Mahindra Scorpio-N and XUV700, the ageing Pik-Up – which has been sold in Australia since 2007 – is not expected to be updated to incorporate the new branding.
As previously reported by Drive, the Mahindra Scorpio-N is expected to arrive in showrooms later this month, while the XUV700 is due to debut towards the end of 2023.
